The tour to Torres del Paine was much better than we expected. We had thought that the bus ride would be tedious. But not at all: it was very interesting! The guide shared with us his wide knowledge of the history and natural environment. In addition the trip was broken up by several stops: crossing the border, a hike, a picnic, etc. It was a worthwhile experience.

One of the greatest tours I had in all my numerous travels. The extreme of "normal" tours giving you a chance to see wild nature at its wildest. Folks! Get warm clothes and go!

Tour National Park Torres del Paine (Chile)
I really enjoyed our day trip to Torres del Paine. Our guide, Matias, is perfectly bilingual and has an immense knowledge of the area. It was great fun listening to everything he had to say, and the tour was very organized and well-run. The border crossing (especially going into Chile) is very slow and inefficient, but that is because nothing is done in an efficient manner in South America. The tour is pricey, but I had a great time and am definitely glad that I went!

Vale a pena, é muito bonito (apesar da viagem ser longa). Sempre leve dolares para pagar o ingresso no parque (o peso argentivo está muito desvalorizado).

DESCPRIPTION

The tour starts early in the morning. After three hours, visitors arrive at Torres del Paine National Park, with an area of 181,000 hectares (323,701 acres) crossed by gravel roads and several paths ideal for trekking and enjoying the most breathtaking natural sceneries.

This national park is named after the giant granite formations shaped by the forces of glacial ice. It is located between the massif of the Andes Range and the Patagonian steppe, in Chile. Paine was declared Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1978. After having lunch on the mountain, Lake Sarmiento de Gamboa and Blue Lake will be visited. From there, there is a panoramic view of the Torres, Paine River Falls, and lakes Nordenskjold, Pehoe, and Salto Grande.
