Excursión Balcon de El Calafate
Fue nuestra excursión más divertida!! Luis y Fabián, 2 fenómenos. Hubo un poco de "desinteligencia" pues el día anterior no nos confirmaron el horario en el hotel como las otras excursiones, al llamar no tenían registrada nuestra excursión, cosa que se solucionó enseguida tomando los datos, de todas maneras nos acercamos para reconfirmar y estaba todo ok, pero la verdad nos asustamos un poco.

DESCPRIPTION

El Calafate Balcony is located 1,100 meters (3,608 ft.) above sea level and it is accessed on 4x4 vehicles.

The panoramic view is unique: Lake Argentino, the southernmost lake in Patagonia covering an area of almost 1,500 square km (579 square mi.); the tourist village of El Calafate with its gable-roof houses; Chaltén and Torres mountains reaching heights above 3,000 meters (9,840 ft.); the Huyliche chain, surrounded by rocky formations evidencing the area’s geological evolution.

The tour also includes a visit to the Stone Labyrinth in Estancia Anita: an 85 million year old Cretaceous formation. When descending, Piedra de los Sombreros, a really peculiar formation, is accessed.

From there, visitors will return to El Calafate.
